New physicians strengthen access, expertise, and independent orthopedic care across Louisiana
Baton Rouge, LA — January 29, 2025 — Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic (BROC) is excited and proud to announce another pivotal milestone in our continued growth and commitment to deliver unparalleled orthopedic care. Effective April 1, 2025, we will add four new orthopedic surgeons to our growing and expanding team of medical experts. The addition of these esteemed physicians represents a significant alliance in the orthopedic market as we combine the resources, innovation, and expertise of a core group of orthopedic surgeons who have historically practiced at the Bone & Joint Clinic of Baton Rouge.
New Physicians Joining BROC
- Joseph “Jeb” Broyles, MD – Joint replacement surgery, knee arthroscopy, cartilage regeneration
- Arthur “Art” Hess, MD – Trauma; hip, knee, and shoulder reconstruction; total joint replacement
- Mathew “Matt” Mazoch, MD – Sports medicine; shoulder and knee surgery
- Alan Schroeder, MD – Sports medicine; shoulder and knee surgery
These four physicians further solidify BROC as the largest and most trusted network of independent orthopedic service providers in Louisiana, now comprising 40 physicians. With their additional expertise and resources, BROC will enhance patient care, treatment outcomes, accessibility, and the preservation of independent practice of Orthopedic Surgery. During these dynamic times of consolidation and change, maintaining patients’ ability to choose high quality and cost-effective musculoskeletal care is paramount to their safety, well-being, and quality of life.
The addition of these physicians will enrich and strengthen BROC’s ability to provide a comprehensive range of orthopedic services, including sports medicine, joint replacement, spine surgery, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, orthopedic oncology, orthopedic trauma, pediatric orthopedics, advanced imaging, and rehabilitation. These additional resources will enable us to expand our geographic footprint, providing exceptional care to neighboring markets and communities.
