The Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic operates two MRI units to meet the specific needs of our patients. The ONI Extremity MRI system, which is the world’s first and only high field extremity magnet, specializes in exams of the foot, ankle, knee, hand, wrist, and elbow. This state of the art technology allows you to sit comfortably in a chair while placing only your extremity into the scanning device. Our second magnet is a high field Siemens MRI which performs a wide variety of exams, including evaluation of the neck, spine, shoulder, and hip.
We can often schedule and perform MRI studies on the same day as your doctor’s appointment. The results will be reviewed by your physician and a Radiologist. The Radiology reports are available to your doctor within a few days. All images are captured digitally for the highest level of resolution.
